Assam TET Recruitment – Director of Elementary Education, Assam or DEE Assam has invited applications for the 9354 teaching posts in Assam. The application process for these bumper vacancies will start from today the recruitment process to fill 9,354 teaching posts. Candidates can apply for the recruitment through the official website of DEE Assam at dee.assam.gov.in. The last date to apply is 27 October. This recruitment drive will fill up 7242 vacancies of Assistant Teacher of LP Schools and 2112 Vacancies of Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher, Assamese Language Teacher, and Manipuri Language Teacher of UP Schools under Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam. Candidates who have qualified for the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) conducted by the Department of Elementary Education, Assam will be eligible to apply and those candidates who will appear and qualify for the Assam TET to be held in the month of October 2024.

Assam TET Recruitment

Assam TET is a state-level teacher eligibility test conducted for the recruitment of teachers in various schools of this northeastern state. There are total of two papers namely Paper I and Paper II on a single day in 33 districts of Assam. The validity of the Assam TET certificate is 7 years. Department of Elementary Education, Assam has published an advertisement for the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (Assam TET). The exam has been conducted for Lower Primary (LP) Teacher and Upper Primary (UP) Teacher posts.

Assam TET LP Teacher Qualification

• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.E1.Ed) OR
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education OR
• Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and having obtained Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from any NCTE recognized institute will be considered for appointment as a teacher for classes I to V.

Assam TET UP Teacher Qualification:

• Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• At least 50% marks in Graduation or Post Graduation and B.Ed. Or
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). Or
• Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year BA/8. scheduled caste. Ed. OR B.Ed/B. scheduled caste. Ed. Or
• Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed.

Assam TET Notification 2024 Age Limits

• The candidate’s age limit should not be less than 21 years.
• The age limit of the candidate for Assam TET will be calculated on the basis of the School Leaving Certificate / HSLC Admit Card / Certificate issued by a recognized Board / Council and no other document will be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.

Validity of Assam TET Certificate:

Candidates securing qualifying marks in both Paper I and Paper II will be awarded a certificate. The validity of the Assam TET 2024 certificate will be 7 years or 7 years from the date of issue of the certificate by the Empowered Committee, Government of Assam.
