About APPSC AEE
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission was accepted on November 1, 1956, when the state of Andhra Pradesh was created. The Madras Public Service Commission’s rules served as the foundation for the Andhra Service Commission, which was accepted in 1953. The Andhra Public Service Commission & the Hyderabad Public Service Commission were combined later in 1956 to form the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission.
On the eve of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission’s formation, Hyderabad Public Service Commission had just one member and Andhra Public Service Commission had two members and a chairman. As a result, the AP Public Service Commission was accepted with three members and a chairman. In 1981, the government increased the Commission’s strength to Chairman & five members and in 1983, the government increased receive the Commission’s strength to Chairman & 7th members. In 1994, the government conducted a 2nd review of the strength and increased it to Chairman and 9th Members. This is also the current strength. The PSC go its headquarters from Telangana to Vijayawada following the division of Andhra Pradesh in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act, 2014.
