AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls 2024– There is a need for more female engineers and scientists, and AICTE is determined to fill this gap. To that end, the Board of Governors of AICTE has approved the Pragati Scholarship for Girls 2024. The Pragati Scholarship for Girls 2024 is a talent development initiative aimed at nurturing talented girls from around the country and providing them with the opportunity to pursue a degree in engineering or science. The scholarship is open to students who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in engineering or science from accredited institutes in India.
AICTE Pragati Scholarship reward 2024 is being offered by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD). Pragati Scholarship Scheme is exclusively available for the girl’s aspirants enrolled in the first year of technical degree/ diploma courses of AICTE approved institutions. The aim of the Pragati Scholarship Programme is to provide an opportunity for young girls to further their higher education and thus pursue a successful career. Pragati Scholarship Programme especially focuses on “Empowering Women through Technical Education”.

Eligibility Criteria for Pragati Scholarship
- Eligibility criteria: The student should be admitted to the 1st year of a degree or diploma course in any of the AICTE approved institutions. Only 2 girl children per family are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Family income must not be above eight Lakh p.a. during the preceding economic year. Reservations are also offer to the aspirants belonging to SC, ST, and other backward castes, with 15 per cent, 7.5 per cent, and 27 per cent, respectively.
- The girl aspirant should be admit to 1st year of Degree/Diploma level course OR Second year of Degree/Diploma course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approve Institution of respective year.
- Maximum 2 Girls Child per family are eligible.
- Family income from all sources is not more than Rs. eight lakh per annum during the current economic year.
Number Of AICTE Pragati Scholarships
A total of 10000 scholarships (5000 each for Degree and Diploma) are earmark per annum under this programme for pursuing 1st year of Degree/Diploma level course OR 2nd year of Degree/Diploma course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE approved Institutions.
State/Union Territory wise distribution of 10,000 scholarships reward for degree and diploma courses is as per Annexure A and B. In addition to 10,000 scholarships at point number 2, all eligible girls who submit online scholarship form, from following 13 Union Territories and North Eastern States i.e. Andaman and Nicobar Islands (UT), Jammu and Kashmir (UT), Laddakh (UT), Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu (UT), Lakshadweep (UT), Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura will be given scholarships by AICTE.

Amount Of Scholarship
Rs 50,000 per annum for each year of study i.e. maximum four years for Degree and three years for Diploma for 1st year admitted students and maximum 3 years for Degree and 2 years for Diploma for 2nd year admitted applicant through lateral entry as lump sum amount towards payment of college fee, computer purchase, stationery, books, Equipment, Software’s purchase etc.
Selection Criteria for AICTE Pragati Scholarship
The selection of aspirant will be carried out solely on the basis of merit of qualifying examination to peruse the Technical Degree/ Diploma courses from any of the AICTE approved institutions. i.e. In case of Degree (1st & 2nd year) it is on the basis of % of marks obtained in the 10+2 examinations and for Diploma (First & Second year) it is on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in tenth examinations.

- First of all visit the official site of AICTE scholarship scholarships.gov.in
- Press on the ‘Apply Now’ link below.
- Navigate to ‘Student Corner ‘and click on ‘New Registration’.
- Now click on ‘Press here for other Scholarship Schemes hosted on NSP for AY 2024
- Choose the state of domicile, scholarship category (Pre Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, and write the applicant’s name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
- Choose Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the ‘Register’ button.
- After, log in using OTP and fill out the application form.
